Úsase de forma tradicional como himnu nacional del Reinu Xuníu y les sos colonies, y como himnu real de la familia real británica y de los demás países que reconocen al monarca británicu como'l so xefe d'estáu. Cuando'l monarca británicu ye home, tresforma en God Save the King (Dios Salve al Rei), como yera cantada orixinalmente.
