George Henry Irving foi actor y direutor cinematográficu d'Estaos Xuníos.

Biografía Nacíu en Nueva York, debutó como actor teatral en 1899 nel circuitu de Broadway, nel cual actuó n'once obres hasta l'añu 1907.

Nel cine, dirixó un total de treina y cinco películes ente 1914 y 1924, toes elles mudes. Como actor trabayó en más de doscienta cincuenta producciones dende 1914 a 1948, siendo una de les más conocíes Bringing Up Baby (1938), con Katharine Hepburn y Cary Grant. Esi mesmu añu participó nun filme francés, Ernest -y rebelle, con Fernandel. Irving retirar en 1954, en participando en dos series televisives en 1951 y 1954.

George Irving finó por causa de un infartu agudu de miocardiu en Hollywood, California, en 1961, a los 86 años d'edá. Foi enterráu nel Campusantu Forest Lawn Memorial Park de Glendale (California). Él y la so esposa, Katherine Gilman, tuvieron dos fíos, Katharine y Dorothy.
