Janet Leigh , actriz d'Estaos Xuníos de cine, especialmente recordada pol so papel en Psycho d'Alfred Hitchcock, pol cual foi nominada al premiu Óscar y ganó un Globu d'Oru.
El so verdaderu nome foi Jeanette Helen Morrison. Yera estudiante universitaria cuando la estrella Norma Shearer vio la so fotografía nun centru d'esquí y encamentó-y que falara col representante Lew Wasserman. Poco dempués robló'l so primer contratu cola MGM.
En 1942 casóse con John Carlyle, divorciándose pocu dempués. Ente 1946 y 1948 tuvo casada con Stanley Reames. Ente 1951 y 1963 vivió col so tercer home, el actor Tony Curtis, con quien tuvo a les sos fíes Kelly y Jamie Lee Curtis, dambes actrices, y xunto a quien filmó delles películes. El so matrimoniu más duraderu foi con Robert Brandt, con quien se casó en 1964.
Pola so interpretación en Psycho ganó'l Globu d'Oru a la meyor actriz de repartu y foi nominada al Óscar a la meyor actriz de repartu en 1961. En 1984 publicó la so autobiografía.
