Otus mayottensisye una especie d'ave estrixiforme de la familia Strigidae. Ye endémica de Comores. Foi descritu por Constantino Walter Benson en 1960 como una subespecie del curuxín malgax (Otus rutilus), sicasí, en 2000 reconocióse como una especie distinta.Pamela C. Rasmussen, Thomas S.
