La 105ª edición de la competición ciclista Tour de Francia, foi una carrera de ciclismu en ruta per etapes que se celebró ente'l 7 y el 29 de xunetu de 2018 en Francia con entamu na comuña francesa de Noirmoutier-en-l'Île y final na ciudá de París sobre un percorríu de 3329 quilómetros. La carrera forma parte del UCI WorldTour 2018, siendo la ventena quinta competición del calendariu de máxima categoría mundial.
Equipos participantes Tomaron parte na carrera 22 equipos: 18 de categoría UCI WorldTeam; y 4 de categoría Profesional Continental. A partir d'esta edición, el númberu de participantes per equipu amenorgar de 9 a 8, formando asina un pelotón de 176 ciclistes (en llugar de 198) de los qu'acabaron XXX. Percorríu El Tour de Francia con 3329 quilómetros de percorríu va ser una edición equilibrada nel que, como vien siendo habitual nos últimos años, el monte sigue teniendo un pesu específicu mayor que la llucha contra'l cronometro, asina mesmu, va vivise una etapa con dellos tramos de pavé como aperitivo de la carrera. La Grande Boucle ta conformáu en 21 etapes, estremáu por 8 etapes llanes pa velocistes, 6 etapes de monte ideal pa escaladores conformáu en 3 llegaes n'alto (La Rosière, Alpe d'Huez y Col de Portet) y dellos puertos de monte (11 nos Alpes, 10 nos Pirineos y 4 nel Macizu Central), 15 tramos de adoquínes nuna sola etapa, 5 salíes inédites (Mouilleron-Saint-Germain, Dreux, Trie-sur-Baïse, Saint-Pée-sur-Nivelle y Houilles), tamién 4 metes inédites (Fontenay-le-Comte, Sarzeau, La Rosière y Ezpeleta), 2 etapes contrarreló (una por equipos y una individual) y 2 xornaes de descansu. letour.fr
