Šahovska olimpijada 1935.

Šesta Šahovska olimpijada 1935., koju je organizirala FIDE i koja se sastojala od otvorenog i ženskog turnira, uz nekoliko pratećih događaja sa svrhom promocije šaha, održana je od 16. do 31. augusta u Varšavi.Šahovska olimpijada 1935. na OlimpBaseu Tokom ove olimpijade održano je i Peto svjetsko prvenstvo za žene.

Turnir Turnir se igrao u Oficerskie Kasyno Garnizonowe u Varšavi. Na olimpijadi je nastupilo 20 ekipa sa ukupno 99 šahistom, koji su igrali po Bergerovom sistemu. Odigrano je 760 partija, a timovi su igrali na četiri table, a jedan rezervni igrač je bio dozvoljen. Igralo se na dva i po sata sata za prvih 40 poteza, a nakon toga sat vremena za svakih 16 poteza. U slučaju istog broja osvojenih bodova, odlučivalo je timsko bodovanje, po kojem je za pobjedu tima dodjeljivano 2 boda, za remi 1 bod i poraz nije donosio bodove, zatim broj pobjeda i međusobni odnos.

Rezultati Pobjednik je po treći put uzastopno bila ekipa SAD-a u sastavu: Reuben Fine sa pet pobjeda, četiri poraza i osam remija, Frank Marshal (+6 −3 =3), Abraham Kupchik (+6 −0 =8), Arthur Dake (+13 −0 =5), i Israel Albert Horowitz (+10 −1 =4). Drugo mjesto osvojili su šahisti Švedske: Gideon Ståhlberg (+9 −2 =7), Gösta Stoltz (+7 −3 =8), Erik Lundin (+10 −2 =7) Gösta Danielsson (+12 −1 =6) i Ernst Larsson (+0 −1 =1), a treće Poljske: Savielly Tartakower (+6 −0 =11), Paulino Frydman (+7 −0 =9), Mieczysław Najdorf (+9 −2 =6), Henryk Friedman (+5 −2 =5) i Kazimierz Makarczyk (+6 −1 =7). Najbolji igrač bio je Arthur Dake sa učinkom 86,1% i osvojenih 15½ poena iz 18 partija.
