El pont romà de fusta és atribuït a Trajà Malcolm MacColl, Through Bosnia and the Herzegovina on foot during the insurrection, August and September 1875 : with an historical review of Bosnia, and a glimpse at the Croats, Slavonians, and the ancient republic of Ragusa o Hadrià, fou substituït per un pont otomà de pedra acabat el 1566 després de nou anys d'obres, Steven House i Cathi House, Mediterranean villages: an architectural journey, p.262 que va existir fins a la guerra de Bòsnia a finals del , en què fou parcialment destruït, si bé després fou reconstruït.
