Stephanosaurus („Stephanův ještěr“) byl pochybný a potenciálně vědecky neplatný rod kachnozobého dinosaura, žijícího v období pozdní svrchní křídy (věk kampán, asi před 76 až 75 miliony let) na území současné kanadské Alberty (souvrství Dinosaur Park).

Fosilie tohoto dinosaura byly objeveny na území budoucího Dinosauřího provinčního parku a popsány nejprve roku 1902 paleontologem Lawrencem Lambem jako Trachodon marginatus.Lambe, Lawrence M. (1902). "On Vertebrata of the mid-Cretaceous of the Northwest Territory. 2. New genera and species from the Belly River Series (mid-Cretaceous)". Contributions to Canadian Paleontology. 3: 25–81. Stejný paleontolog stanovil roku 1914 na základě dalších objevených fosilií nové rodové jméno Stephanosaurus.Lambe, Lawrence M. (1914). "On a new genus and species of carnivorous dinosaur from the Belly River Formation of Alberta, with a description of the skull of Stephanosaurus marginatus from the same horizon". Ottawa Naturalist. 28: 13–20. V roce 1923 stanovil paleontolog William Parks opět nové rodové jméno pro dvě objevené a dobře zachované lebky – Lambeosaurus lambei. Zároveň byla přejmenována i podčeleď stanovená Lambem, Stephanosaurinae, na dosud platné Lambeosaurinae.Parks, William A. (1923). "Corythosaurus intermedius, a new species of trachodont dinosaur". University of Toronto Studies, Geological Series. 15: 1–57. Druh S. marginatus nicméně zůstává pochybným vědeckým jménem (nomen dubium).
