Des points supplémentaires sont attribués aux pilotes selon leurs performances aux qualifications à l'Indy 500 et en Iowa. En cas d'égalité, le championnat se joue sur le nombre de victoires, suivi du nombre de , , etc. Ensuite par le nombre de pole position, de sur la grille, etc.
