Le Fuji Rock Festival est le plus important festival de musique rock du Japon, à la fois en raison des artistes qui s'y produisent et du public qui le fréquente chaque année. Il se déroule les derniers vendredi, samedi et dimanche de juillet pour trois jours et trois nuits de festival non-stop. Les cinq scènes principales sont espacées d'environ 20 minutes à pied dans les montagnes de Naeba, dans la préfecture de Niigata au Japon. Le festival se décline en sept scènes différentes. La Green Stage, le secteur le plus important, a une capacité de plus de . En 2005, plus de ont assisté au festival.
Historique
Années 1990
1997 La première édition du festival a eu lieu en 1997, près du Mont Fuji (Fuji Tenjinyama Ski Resort), ce qui donna son nom au festival. Cette année-là, un typhon a détruit une partie du festival, sans faire de victime.
