Joe Sawyer (de son vrai nom Joseph Sauers) est un acteur, scénariste et producteur canadien né le à Guelph (Ontario), mort le à Ashland (Oregon). Son rôle le plus connu est certainement celui du Sergent O'Hara dans la série Rintintin.

Sawyer est décédé le à Ashland, Oregon, d'un cancer du foie. Il avait 75 ans. Son inhumation a eu lieu dans l'Oregon.
