A legjobb férfi főszereplőnek (minisorozat vagy tévéfilm) járó Golden Globe-díjat 1982 óta osztja ki minden évben a Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA). Elsőként Mickey Rooney vehette át a 39. Golden Globe-gálán, a Bill című minisorozatban nyújtott alakításáért. Legutóbb 2025-ben a 83. Golden Globe-gálán adták át, Stephen Graham bizonyult a legjobbnak a Kamaszok című minisorozattal.
Robert Duvall, James Garner és Al Pacino szerezte a legtöbb, két-két díjat a kategóriában. A legtöbb, hét jelöléssel James Woods rendelkezik.
