Az europanto egy kevert nyelv, aminek az ötletét Diego Marani, az Európai Tanács egyik újságírója, fordítója találta ki 1996-ban. A nyelvnek az a célja, hogy az európai nyelvekből, a beszélő megítélése szerint "fontos" szavak keverése által relatív érthető beszédet hozzon létre. Emiatt igazából nem is tekinthető nyelvnek, csak egyfajta ötletnek. A 'nyelvet', bár nem említik szinte sose név szerint, az európai uniós közigazgatás 'használja', ugyanis (Diego szerint) gyakori, hogy a nyelveket összekeverik. A nyelvnek nincs sem stabilizált nyelvtana, sem szókincse, a beszélő úgy választja meg a szavait, ahogy akarja.
