Oscar Larsen ha svolto gran parte della sua carriera teatrale al Teatro Nazionale di Oslo, interpretando, fra gli altri, ruoli shakespeariani ed ibseniani. Ha inoltre recitato in alcuni film, fra i quali La fidanzata di Glomdal, di Carl Theodor Dreyer (1926).
