È stato uno degli undici vincitori del talent show Produce 101 Season 2, in cui si è classificato quinto entrando così nella boy band Wanna One. Ha parallelamente avviato una carriera da attore, con lavori come Yeor-yeodeolb-ui sun-gan (2019) e Seoul Vibe - L'ultimo inseguimento (2022), e come cantante solista, iniziata con l'EP Layers uscito a marzo 2020.
