The Undisputed Truth è stato un gruppo musicale soul psichedelico e funk psichedelico statunitense.
Storia Negli anni 1960, i losangelini Delicates, dei quali hanno fatto parte Billie Calvin e Brenda Evans, sono stati messi sotto contratto dalla Motown grazie al leader dei Vancouvers Bobby Taylor. Quando i Delicates si sono sciolti nel 1970, Calvin e Evans hanno fatto da cantanti di supporto per altri artisti della Motown, compresi Diana Ross (Ain't No Mountain High Enough, 1970) e i Four Tops (Still Water, 1970). Nello stesso anno, Calvin, Evans e Joe Harris, hanno formato gli Undisputed Truth su iniziativa del produttore discografico Norman Whitfield.
La maggior parte dei loro singoli si sono rivelati essere successi minori, eccezion fatta per Smiling Faces Sometimes del 1971, entrato alla terza posizione della classifica statunitense e la seconda di quella dei singoli R&B. Vale la pena di menzionare anche Papa Was a Rollin' Stone del 1972, una cover dei Temptations.
Nel 1975 gli Undisputed Truth sono passati alla neonata etichetta Whitfield Records.
