Lo cratèr de Vredefort (27° 0′ S, 27° 30′ E) es un cratèr d'impacte situat en Sud-Africa vèrs la vila de Vredefort. Es lo pus grand conegut sur la Tèrra. A una estructura compausada d'anèus multiples amb un diamètre de 300 quilomètres. Son periòde de formacion es estimat a environ 2 miliards d'annadas. Foguèt creat per un asteroïde amb un talha de 10 a 15 quilomètres.
