Дэвид Вейзхемпел (, род. 16 ноября 1952) — американский из Центра функциональной анатомии и эволюции () Медицинской школы при Университете Джонса Хопкинса () с 1985 года.
Биография В 1975 году получил степень бакалавра в Университете штата Огайо (The Ohio State University), в 1978 — ступень магистра наук в Торонтском университете, в 1981 — степень Phd. D. по геологии в Пенсильванском университете. Его исследования касаются систематики динозавров, позднемеловых динозавров Европы, растительности и механики челюстей, кладистики и гетерохронии, истории эволюционной биологии. Соавтор научного описания таксонов: Ajkaceratops kozmai, Anikosaurus darwini, Iguanodon lakotaensis (теперь Dakotadon lakotaensis), Niobrarasaurus coleii, Orodromeus makelai.
