Леонард Эрик Ньютон (; род. 26 сентября 1936) — ганский и кенийский , специализируется на изучении и систематике родов «Aloe» и «Caralluma».
Работает в Кенийском университете в Найроби. Совершил несколько научных экспедиций в Гану, Бенин, Кению, Йемен. Является сотрудником Музея естествознания в Лондоне. Описал ряд новых видов растений из семейств Aloaceae, Asclepiadoideae, Vitaceae, Zamiaceae, Crassulaceae, Scilloideae, Dracaenaceae.
Лауреат премии «Золотой кактус».
