Японская футбольная лига 1997

Чемпионат Японской футбольной лиги 1997 — шестой розыгрыш Японской футбольной лиги (JFL). Был представлен одним дивизионом с 16 командами, сыгравшими по 30 матчей между собой.

Результаты Поскольку «Cosmo Oil Yokkaichi» был расформирован по окончании прошлого сезона, также как и «Tosu Futures», лишившийся основного спонсора. Их заменили новый созданный клуб «Саган Тосу» и вышедшие из региональной лиги «Jatco» и «Мито Холлихок». А «Фудзицу Кавасаки» сменил название на «Кавасаки Фронтале».

Победителем чемпионата стал «Консадоле Саппоро», ставший в прошлом году ассоциированным членом Джей-лиги, и получивший право выступить в высшем дивизионе в следующем сезоне. По окончании сезона два клуба были расформированы — « Fukushima» и «Seino Transportation», команды из региональной лиги с лучшими показателями («Сони Сэндай» и «Альбирекс Ниигата») заняли их место в следующем сезоне.
