Acanthomolgus — род мелких веслоногих ракообразных из семейства Rhynchomolgidae (Циклопы, Copepoda). Известно около 50 симбиотических видов, ассоциированных с восьмилучевыми кораллами. Обитают в водах Атлантического, Индийского и Тихого океанов.
Описание Мелкие веслоногие ракообразные-циклопы, длина около 1 мм. Тело циклопиформное. Уросома у самки 5-сегментная, у самца 6-сегментная. Хвостовая ветвь с шестью щетинками. Рострум закруглен задне-вентрально. Антенна 4-члениковая (вторая антенна) с двумя концевыми коготками, антеннула (первая антенна) 7-сегментная. Ноги 1-4 имеют 3-сегментные ветви, за исключением эндопода ноги 4, который имеет 2 сегмента. Экзопод ноги 4 имеет третий сегмент с формулой II,I,5. Эндопод ноги 4 имеет формулу 0—I;II, при этом первый сегмент несет шип, а не щетинку. Ассоциированы с восьмилучевыми кораллами. Находятся в симбиотических связях с антозойными книдариями, включая Alcyonacea, Gorgonacea и Telestacea.
Таксономия и этимология Известно около 50 видов. Род был впервые выделен в 1972 году американским зоологом Arthur G. Humes (1916—1999) и голландским биологом Jan H. Stock (1931—1997). Первоначально входил в состав семейства Lichomolgidae. Название рода образовано от греческих слов acanta (шип), указывающего на шип на первом сегменте эндопода ноги 4, и molgus (кожаный мешочек), являющегося частью названия типового рода Lichomolgus.
