Edward Emerson Barnard (* 16. december 1857, Nashville, Tennessee, USAhttps://web.archive.org/web/20040604012919/http://astro.uchicago.edu/yerkes/virtualmuseum/Barnardfull.html – † 6. február 1923, Nashville) bol americký astronóm, člen Národnej AV, priekopník astrofotografie.
Objavil množstvo premenných hviezd, dvojhviezd a komét. V roku 1892 objavil piaty Jupiterov mesiac a v roku 1916 hviezdu s najväčším vlastným pohybom, ktorá je po ňom pomenovaná.
