Кеннет Ессекс Еджворт (26 лютого 1880 — 10 жовтня 1972) — ірландський офіцер, інженер, економіст і незалежний астроном-теоретик. Він народився в селищі Стріт, графство Вестміт. Еджворт найбільш відомий тим, що в 1930-х роках висунув гіпотезу про існування диска небесних тіл за орбітою Нептуна. Згодом, у 1992 році, спостереження підтвердили існування поясу Еджворта — Койпера. Ці віддалені тіла Сонячної системи, зокрема Плутон, Ерида та Макемаке, нині відносять до поясу Еджворта — Койпера (або просто поясу Койпера).
