Homestead Records foi un sub-selo baseado en Nova York da distribuidora de música Dutch East India Trading. Fundouno en 1983 Sam Berger para especializarse en música experimental. O selo é considerado unha peza fundamental para a popularización do noise rock. Cando Berger deixou a discográfica recomendou a Gerard Cosloy, un rapaz de 18 anos que publicou un fancine que Homestead distribuía. Cosloy foi o encargado de asinar con moitas bandas notables. Porteriormente se engargarían do selo Ken Katkin e Steven Joerg. A súa derradeira edición sería o traballo de Ivo Perelman Cama de terra, aparecido en 1986.
Entre os artistas que pasaron por Homestead destacan Big Black, Dinosaur Jr., Sonic Youth, Einstürzende Neubauten, The Ex, Swans ou Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.
