Tudnivalók A Nassarius-fajok világszerte megtalálhatók. Általában az iszapban és homokpadokon élnek az árapály térségben vagy annak közelében. A legtöbb Nassarius-faj dögevő, döglött halakkal és egyéb elhullott víziállatokkal táplálkozik. Az állatok üregükben ülve, hosszú szifójukkal szaglásznak táplálék után.
