A Nannophrys a kétéltűek (Amphibia) osztályába, a békák (Anura) rendjébe és a Dicroglossidae családjába tartozó nem. Korábban a valódi békafélék (Ranidae) családjába tartozott, de a legújabb filogenetikai kutatások alapján a Dicroglossidae osztályba helyezték.
Elterjedése
A nembe tartozó fajok Srí Lanka endemikus élőlényei.
