Pályafutása Amikor Blake egyéves volt, amikor családja Sulphur Springsbe, Georgiába költözött. Ott nőtt fel.

Blake szerepel Bob Dylan „Nashville Skyline” című albumának és Johnny Cash „Orange Blossom Special” című albumának stáblistáján.
